This artwork is a testament to the existential nature of our perceptions, as the afterimage is an individual, subjective experience that exists only in the present moment. By engaging with the physical properties of the paint, I create a tangible manifestation of this transient occurrence, emphasizing the significance of the medium in capturing and conveying the essence of the immediate experience.

The delicate, shimmering surface of the painting draws the viewer into the present moment, inviting them to reflect on their own perceptual experiences and the fleeting nature of existence.

As an artist, I am captivated by the existential implications of these momentary visual experiences. By immersing myself in the study of afterimages, I seek to understand the nature of our perceptual reality and the way in which our experiences shape our understanding of the world around us. This painting represents my ongoing exploration of how the act of observation and interpretation, rooted in the here and now, can transform our relationship with the transient nature of existence.
